• STUDIO HOURS
Normally 7 days a week, 10 am to 10 pm (some flexibility). You are booking and paying for the time you occupy the studio, not the time that you actually shoot. To save money, arrive on time and be prompt about wrapping up and out at the end of your shoot. Please include time for your set-up, breakdown, and clean-up through to departure in the time you book. We can usually let you in 10 minutes early "off the clock".
There is a parking lot just outside our front door. Weekdays it can get busy but we can usually guarantee one spot out front. People always manage to park somewhere nearby. The lot has plenty of free spots on weekends.
• TTC (Toronto transit)
Travel the Bloor subway to Lansdowne station and take the bus north for 5 minutes to Dupont St. From there walk west 5 minutes, under the rail bridge to Campbell Ave where you turn north (right) and immediately right again into the parking lot of the industrial mall we are in. An alternative is to take the Symington bus north from Dundas West station to Dupont and walk east a couple minutes to Campbell Ave.
Yes there is wifi, network is called "studiocozy" of course. Ask for the password when you get here.
• BOOKING SLOTS
If you are booking a half day ( 4 hours) try to schedule to start either 9 or 10am or mid afternoon, 2 or 3pm. This allows us to book a second party before or after you. There is more flexibility if we are not too busy.
Each studio has a minimum starting price to book a shoot. This covers our basic costs of overhead, admin, and being there to open and prepare the studio for you. Within this minimum you can work for any time you need up to 4 hours before the hourly rate applies.
• START TIME
You are billed starting with your scheduled start time whether you arrive on time or not. We can usually adjust your official start time if you let us know before the day of your booking. And you can usually get into the space 10 minutes early for free orientation time.
Normally you pretty much have the space to yourself with just one or two studio people nearby in case you need help. If you require complete privacy on the shooting floor (eg. for nude photography) let us know at the time you make the booking so we can stay out of your way.
